Welcome to the Midvale Plaza Forum Blog site. The Midvale Plaza will be redeveloped to include a larger library, as well as retail, condos, and apartments. Both the Midvale Heights Community Association and the Westmorland Neighborhood Association are interested in neighborhood feedback on the proposed plans. The Urban Design Commission granted initial approval to the plan submitted by the developer and architect and that plan was essentially approved by the Plan Commission on June 19th. The Common Council approved the project at its July 18th meeting. The project must return to the Urban Design Commission for final approval later this summer. The UDC, the Plan Commission, and the Common Council have added amendments to their approvals that must be met before the plan can receive final approval. We are working to verify exactly what is included in these amendments and will post a complete list soon.
